Record Store Day 2020

While 2020 hasn’t really gone to plan so far, all is not lost in terms of this year’s Record Store Day. I’ve done some digging to give you a quick rundown of what you can expect.

  • The event will be spread across three designated dates: 29th August, 26th September and 24th October 2020.
  • Among the August drop, you’ll be able to get your hands on all sorts of cross-genre gems. We’re talking Tyler, the Creator’s ‘Cherry Bomb’, Odd Future’s ‘The OF Tape Vol. 2’, the Cure’s ‘Seventeen Seconds’ and apparently even a new live EP Brittany Howard. I mean, there’s a whole host of exciting items. The list also extends to reissues from Gorillaz, 7” offerings from Christine and the Queens, and some Mac DeMarco demos. Nice.
  • Fast forward to September’s batch and you’ll stumble across everything from Destiny’s Child to Fleetwood Mac.
  • Last but not least, October is tipped to promise vinyl from the Rolling Stones, Miles Davis, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib, and more, all as part of Record Store Day 2020.
