In case you haven’t heard, Killer Mike and El-P, AKA the legends that combine to make Run the Jewels, released their latest album a little ahead of schedule this week. In light of everything going on around the world with the crucial and ongoing Black Lives Matter campaign, they wanted to drop something to lift everyone’s spirits. And boy, ‘RTJ4’ has done just that.

You can download the entire record and 12-page lyric booklet on Run the Jewels’ website, or play via the usual channels, such as Spotify. The bangers — of which there are many — include: ‘out of sight (feat. 2 Chainz)’, ‘goonies vs. E.T.’, ‘walking in the snow’, ‘JU$T (feat. Pharrell Williams & Zack de la Rocha)’ and, my favourite, ‘pulling the pin (feat. Mavis Staples & Josh Homme)’. Prepare for a masterclass in powerful protesting through honest, envelope-pushing rhymes sewn together with no-expense-spared, flawless rap beats.
