Hello hello, how are you?

Doing well! Ten shows into our current tour, I’m writing this as we travel from Nottingham to Manchester. Looking forward to lots of fun hangs with our UK friends and a big week of shows — particularly our end-of-tour party in Leeds next Tuesday!

How’s 2026 treated you so far?

2026 has been a bit of a quieter year for us on the live performance front. But over the past couple of years, we’ve toured a lot. This year, we’ve actually been laying low by our usual standards… until now, that is.

Early in 2026, we made a new album so we’ve been working away behind the scenes on all the bits and pieces that go with that. Now, we’re pretty excited to start sharing what we’ve been working on! We’re all stoked to be back on the road again, too, so I expect there’ll be plenty more touring to be had as we roll into 2027.

Congrats on your recent release of ‘Measuring Cup’ — what have fans’ reactions been like?

Thanks! Always exciting to put out new music and the reception to ‘Measuring Cup’ has been great so far. Been fortunate to have some nice things said about it, and it’s quickly becoming a highlight of the set. And the video clip — which was made by our guitarist/vocalist Scarlett and good friend James Devlin — is maybe the best clip we’ve done yet, so that’s been extra fun to share.

So, in terms of tour, how have the vibes been? Any favourite venues?

It’s been a great stint up to this point — we flew into Brussels, played some fab shows around Belgium, the Netherlands and France, and then caught a 20-hour ferry to Ireland. Quite a wild experience!

The Irish leg of the tour was very special because we’ve been trying to tick that off the bucket list for years — shout-outs to BelloBar, Róisín Dubh and Ulster Sports Club. And we just played a festival in Nottingham put on by the amazing JT Soar crew. Another favourite DIY venue.

Looking forward to this next run of UK shows now, playing some other fave spots like Delicious Clam, YES and Hyde Park Book Club.

What’s your local music scene like?

We’re extremely spoilt in Melbourne to have a very thriving music scene. Plenty of great bands and cool people doing interesting stuff, and it’s a very supportive community in general, which makes for a healthy place to try out new projects or ideas. There’s constantly new bands forming and evolving, which keeps everything quite inspiring.

That’s class! If you could’ve written a famous album or song released by another band/artist, what would it be?

Here’s a few options inspired by some key moments of our tour: ‘Rock DJ’ by Robbie Williams, ‘Strutter’ by KISS, ‘Department’ by Yummy Fur, and any song by Body Suit or Delivery Service.

Can you share anything more coming soon?

Our upcoming record ‘Zone 3’ is out in February [2027] via Heavenly Recordings, so that’s the main thing on our horizon for now. There’ll be a few new songs out in the coming months, and plenty more shows to be rocked!
