‘Crash Down’ — Level Head — Single review

Back after something of a release hiatus since 2020, the south-eastern four-piece, Level Head, have emerged with a fiercely bold new single, ‘Crash Down’. The long-awaited sophomore song from the self-confessed noisemakers is punchy in the main, packaged up with a must-play-again-immediately catchiness that’s sure to grip every discerning rock fan.

This fresh offering is an impeccably constructed piece, recorded at Studio 91 in Newbury, which showcases a unity of strong, distinctive vocals, riff-perfect guitars and thumping drums. Does it get any better? You can certainly detect their Don Broco and Boston Manor influences in this one, while it’s very true to the style they’ve been quietly cultivating since their official formation in 2019.

Their last tune, ‘Again & Again’, is edging towards 3,000 Spotify streams as it stands. And, while more is set to come from Level Head, it’s safe to assume that ‘Crash Down’ is on course for a whole heap of plays from the get go.

Itching to give it a spin? Grab your headphones or turn up the speakers and listen here. You’re going to want to follow the band on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for all the latest, too.
