‘People Should Know Better’ — SPINN — Single review

SPINN have had a grand old year, and they’re set to bring even more oomph to our ears in February. ‘Outside Of The Blue’ will be their sophomore album, but to whet our appetites prior to its landing, they’re back with ‘People Should Know Better’. So, put down your advent calendar and give this nugget of indie joy a play.

The Liverpool/Birmingham-based band have had applause from The Line of Best Fit, DIY, Notion and more, and this new tune is another example of why they’re piercing into the contemporary scene. The song offers a critique of the UK government and its handling of policies recently — a topic many can get very vocal about. So, it’s a great outlet for grievances, all tied up with riffs you can bop along to.

Whether it’s for being a raucous anthem or simply a melodic beast of a tune, this new record from SPINN ticks the boxes. Go and hear it for yourself on Spotify, and give them a follow on Instagram and Facebook. You’ll want to be clued-up about all the album gossip, after all…
