Offering us a fresh, soulful burst of soft indie goodness, 19-year-old West Lothian singer-songwriter, Christie Oliver, is back with her collaboration with Adam Scott. And it’s much to our ears’ delight.
The gently-paced, summertime-sounding jam, ‘Crazy’, is a deliriously addictive piece. While the vocals boast a powerful clarity, the guitar licks propel this track to another level, rounding it off seamlessly and peppering it with a Tom-Misch-meets-Amy-Macdonald twist.

The mellow vibe of the record is established not only through the chords but the lyrics, too — they hone in on the notion of that strange comfort-yet-confusion you can simultaneously feel in the first flushes of seeing someone. But despite that main message underpinning it all, there’s still this enjoyable softness that gets you pressing play over and over again.
Oh-so deservedly, Christie Oliver is among the line-up at this year’s Party at the Palace, alongside the likes of the Manic Street Preachers and The Snuts. If you can’t wait to see her talented self on the gig circuit when it’s up and running again, you can spin the gloriously triumphant ‘Crazy’ on Spotify now. Don’t forget to follow Christie on Instagram and Facebook, too.
