‘Brother’ — Daz Cadwallander — Single review

The summer really does command those indie-rock, festival-worthy sounds, so Daz Cadwallander’s latest single, ‘Brother’, couldn’t be dropping at a more opportune time. It’s anthemic in style and bound to go down oh-so sweetly with crowds hereafter.

Roaring vocals, chilled yet upbeat guitar riffs and a steady beat stitching it all together? That’s what you get with this piece, and its enjoyable melody begs to be played on loop. So far, the solo artist has been tipped for greatness in 2022 by BBC Radio Sheffield, who have interviewed him as a special guest and taken several shines to his magnificent material.

Daz Cadwallander’s career highlights so far also span a big O2 Academy Sheffield gig, coveted Tramlines Festival slot and supporting place opening for Tom Hingley of Inspiral Carpets fame.

‘Brother’ is a playlist must, so go on — get spinning it now, and be sure to follow the singer’s socials while you’re at it.
