‘Flint’ — Twistyd — Single review

Hot on the heels of his recently released single, ‘Undrwatr’, Twistyd is back with ‘Flint’. It’s a feisty hell-raiser written in tribute to the late, great Keith Flint of The Prodigy and serves as another taste of what’s to come from Twistyd’s upcoming EP, ‘Thoughts’, due in October.

Naturally, The Prodigy massively influenced this new banger, which you’ll notice in the energetic, frantic synths and aggressive-style punk vocals. But the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Pendulum and Enter Shikari have also steered its course inspirationally.

While the thrashing, thudding metal you also get on this record poses a very different niche instrumentally to ‘Undrwater’, it’s still a really exciting sound. It’ll grip fans of all sorts of genres.

If you aren’t already following Twistyd, you can do so on Instagram while you stream ‘Flint’ on Spotify. Easy.
