It has come to my attention that the debut album, ‘Marathon’, from Philadelphia trio, Shark Tape, is absolutely brilliant. It isn’t out until 15th June, but I thought it was worth bringing to people’s attention; they’ve been compared to Cheap Trick and that’s okay with me, but there are also tracks clearly resembling The Cure, instrumentally. This I cannot argue with.

Sound intriguing? Well, I’ll vouch for it being simply ace. It’s quite a transitional album, with all sorts of differing musical vibes, but it’s hugely enjoyable nonetheless. Give it a couple of weeks and you can get your hands on a copy.
