‘BONEMAN’ — Wolforna — Single review

A pacy, racy follow-up to ‘Two 2nd Rule’ is Wolforna’s ‘BONEMAN’. Less cryptic in title yet brandishing spooky-themed lyrics that aptly coincide with the Halloween season, it’s a whopping banger that’s gift numéro deux in just over a month from the Bradford rockers. They’re hitting us hard with these new-style singles late into 2025 — and I’m so here for it.

Starting with rolling, tumbling drums and a stabbing hook, it’s got catchiness written all over it from the get-go. And while it’s not as dancey as its previous counterpart, it’s still a departure from the sheer, ferocious heaviness of their ‘Tales of the Damned’ EP from this time last year.

Wolforna showing growth in an age of modern rock? They do this all too well. Chugging, shredding riffs, a steadfast bassline and harmonised vocals that delve even deeper into their frontman’s range? Yeah, the boxes are ticked every single time. The bonus ingredients: the tempo and key changes as a face-melting solo wallops you around the ears. Your playlist just levelled up.
