Leeds Festival 2025 — Saturday preview

Ahem, news just in — we’re back at Bramham Park this August, to cover Leeds Fest for the second year running*! And you can bet we’re pretty buzzing about it.

If, like us, you’re attending the event on the Saturday, you’ll be looking forward to a plethora of cross-genre artists taking to the stages — but maybe Chappell Roan tipped the vote for you? Yep, her set’s hot to go, and although she’s conventionally one for the pop princesses spinning Sabrina Carpenter et al, Chappell’s absolutely a songstress we’re super-excited to witness live. She’s bound to plate up a set to remember, right before Hozier — another pop-esque act on the line-up. And again, an iconic show for the ages from the sultry-voiced star is pending.

You’ll spy Rudimental and The Chats in big, bold type on the poster as well. While you’ve got drum and bass on one hand there, high-octane Aussie punk on the other, they’re both assuredly going to flood our ears with a medley of massive bangers.

For those who’ve never had the pleasure of witnessing the indie majesty of Bloc Party nor The Kooks before, please bask in their glory — utter must-sees not to miss out on. And although they’re still carving out a name for themselves by contrast, The Royston Club are a newer example of guitar-fuelled indie that deliver festival vibes in spades. Plus, make sure Red Rum Club are on your agenda — especially after hearing their newer offerings. We’ve been seriously heeding tastemakers’ recommendation with this lot.

Fresh from supporting Deftones back in June, High Vis will be back in Yorkshire on the Saturday, too, alongside two very famous names in the industry: The Linda Lindas and the politically motivated Mannequin Pussy. Regular RW readers should also recognise local, Slam Dunk-approved band Artio, plus our pals SNAYX, who are going to blow the metaphorical roof off proceedings.

Among all the other mega talent on the billing, we’re just giddy to be experiencing one of the most cherished, renowned festivals in the calendar again. The press area was thriving last year, and we’ll be making plenty of time to savour the food trucks and vintage garms stalls.

For us music heads, we’re very much in our festival era. So roll on Saturday 23rd!
