Super Friendz’s Dark Arts returns in 2025

Back and set to be one of the indie essentials in the diary is Dark Arts*, the all-day, emerging-music brainchild of Super Friendz and its cherished Leeds venue, Belgrave Music Hall.

That’s right, mark your calendars on Saturday 15th March and prepare for all kinds of post-punk, avant-garde, alternative tunes to be unleashed on your ears. And it’ll be coming from the likes of Courting and Home Counties — two of the biggest names on the billing. Plus, the team has recently announced that No Windows, Tough Cookie, Westside Cowboy, Punchbag, Hank, Gladboy and Scum will be joining the line-up. Sounds pretty juicy, doesn’t it?

While the main event isn’t for just under two months, they’ve concocted a way to warm us up in advance, this terribly chilly January. Super Friendz are laying on a mini-series, spread out into three parts, all at Headrow House. And I’m excited to be going to see the second instalment. Dopplr, MLEKO and Turnspit will play this Friday (24th January), and it’ll only cost you a fiver to hang out somewhere snazzy and escape the cold. Winner. You’ll find tickets on Dice as always, so don’t be a stranger!

If you’re interested in being present and correct for all the above, all the details are on their Instagram.

*With thanks to Super Friendz for the press access.
