Albums via Chuff Media to get excited about in 2025

One of the most exciting things here at Record Weekly HQ is receiving emails from top PR agencies, about upcoming releases from major international artists on their roster. One such agency is Chuff Media. They represent the likes of The Libertines, Maggie Rogers, Inhaler and so many more.

Things are already looking really rosy for the team at Chuff in 2025 — the first quarter is set to be full of stellar new album drops from some of their best-known exports. So, to get you as giddy as we are about what’s landing soon, here’s a quick rundown…

‘Kawala Collection’ — KAWALA, 31/1

Nine tracks of summer-ready belters are due from the north London quintet at the end of January — a very nice way to mark the end of the gloomiest month of winter. Nothing says onwards to spring quite like it.

‘Polari’ — Olly Alexander, 7/2

Whether you know him from Years & Years or the thought-provoking Channel 4 series, It’s a Sin, Olly Alexander is a treasured household name. His silky pop bangers are guaranteed dopamine hits, and there are more en route.

‘People Watching’ — Sam Fender, 21/2

Many of you readers will have witnessed Sam Fender, Newcastle’s young legend, at the First Direct Arena lately. I didn’t, however, but I’ve rated his tunes since seeing him at Live at Leeds in 2019. So, roll on lots of fresh bops.

‘Drive To Goldenhammer’ — Divorce, 7/3

Quirky, jaunty indie-rock is Divorce’s rather alternative niche — and it’s what makes me always glad to catch their set at a festival. And we’re now, gleefully, on the cusp of them delivering a debut full-lengther.

‘Night Life’ — The Horrors, 21/3

The epic return of The Horrors in 2024 was almost as generally majestic as their Belgrave gig before the end of the year. They were sharper, synthier and stronger than ever — and we’re about to get lashings more.

‘Dreams on Toast’ — The Darkness, 28/3

Perhaps the one I’m most buzzing about on the list — no, not just for its insanely good title — is this. Justin Hawkins and co never fail to absolutely shred while firing on all satirical, lyrical cylinders. Counting down the days.

‘Boys These Days’ — Sports Team, 23/5

There’s no party like a Sports Team party. This band understand the assignment every time; they want fans to rate their humour, lap up their songs and, most importantly, mosh to them at festivals. You’ve got it.

Which are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments or over on Instagram.

With thanks to Chuff Media for the info.
