Amid their hectic summer schedule, we grabbed a very speedy Q&A Scruff of the Neck-signed, indie-pop four-piece, BLOXX…
RECORD WEEKLY’S INTERVIEW WITH BLOXX
Hey, how are you all?
Great thank you!
It’s been a busy summer so far — how’s festival season been for you?
Festival season is always a joy! We maybe enjoy it a little bit too much…
You’ve got a new EP out — talk us through it a bit.
This EP was one of the hardest to come to fruition. We’ve each gone through something heavy in the last two years, and I think this is one of the heaviest releases we’ve had to try to promote as a result.
Now, it’s been a while since I last saw you play (at Hyde Park Book Club, Leeds). Introduce BLOXX properly to readers — when and where did you form?
We’re ultimately a bunch of mates that are emotionally driven and write bangers! Me [Fee] and Taz met in college, and then we found our other two best mates, Joe and Noah, later on.
What have been your biggest achievements to date as a band?
Definitely touring, and a top 50-ranking, physical first album!
Can you tease any other upcoming news?
So our EP’s of course out now, but there just might be an album, too…
Get spinning the ‘Modern Day’ EP now, and be sure to catch the latest BLOXX action via their Instagram.
