Interview with The Rosadocs

If you’re a fan of The Enemy or The Killers, then it’s in your best interests to give Sheffield’s indie five-piece, The Rosadocs, a go. And you can read all about the band below…

RECORD WEEKLY’S INTERVIEW WITH THE ROSADOCS

Hey guys, how are you all?

We’re great and gearing up for a busy festival season and rest of the year!

How’s 2023 going for The Rosadocs?

2023 has been a meteoric year for us. We’ve achieved more this year than in all the years previously. We set a plan in 2022 and we’ve achieved everything we set out to and much, much more!

When did you begin as a band, and how did it all get off the ground?

We started out in 2017 when I [Keelan] began writing his own songs. He met up with a drummer who introduced him to Joe (our guitarist) and it just went from there. We started writing together and we’ve consciously pushed ourselves to improve ever since.

You’ve had some sound support slots so far — what have been your most memorable career highlights overall?

We’ve been very lucky to support some of our musical heroes over the years. I’d say show-wise, the most memorable would be slightly different for us all. But for me, it would have to be playing in front of 26,000 people in my hometown of Chesterfield on Bonfire Night in 2022!

What are your favourite things about Sheffield, both in terms of its music scene and what the city offers generally?

Sheffield is very special and it’s so rare for one area to have produced such strong talent consistently. From the likes of Pulp to Arctic Monkeys, all the way up to Self Esteem, it’s always been a hub of incredible artists.

The city itself is beautiful and it’s somewhere we’re proud to have risen through. We’ve played almost every venue in the city over the years and that’s provided us with the perfect stepping stones to gradually grow comfortably!

What’s next in store for The Rosadocs?

We have a very busy summer — in fact, we’ve only got one week off right up until November now. We have a lot of major festivals followed by our huge headline show at Sheffield City Hall.

And who knows? There may be some new music on the horizon too!
